DESCRIPTION: EPW - J. Sewill, London, minute repeater, 52mm, very heavy 18K gold original HC bearing Chester hallmarks for 1914, front with initials, gold cuvette with presentation engraving dated 10-4-65, white enamel SS dial, SW-pin-set, fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstone, at least 20J, gilt mvt, s#29690 with matching serial number to case. Gross weight of assembled watch 92.5 dwt (143.8 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some typical scattered micro-fine scratches, some mild ultra-fine scratch striations likely from a past light wiping; dial with some scattered hls; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, some scattered fine scratches, few pinpoint nicks, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail, case front originally with two lift-springs but one is missing which is allowing lid to tilt back approximately one-third toward closed with gravity; tight bow thinned at top, gilt crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
